Dr. David Abbasi has provided insight into the damage incurred by Goiti Yamauchi in his recent fight against MVP aka Michael 'Venom' Page at Bellator 292.

Page and Yamauchi locked horns in a welterweight fight on March 10 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The bout was a short-lived affair as Page landed a leg kick in the opening rounds of the contest that caused a brutal injury to Yamauchi's knee. The fight was brought to a halt and 'Venom' was declared the winner by TKO.

In a video uploaded to his Twitter account, Dr. Abbasi explained the extent of the leg injury suffered by the 30-year-old at Bellator 292.

Abbasi stated that Yamauchi suffered a patella fracture (a break in the kneecap) in the fight and would need to undergo surgery to recover from it.

"There seems to be a pattern here…. MVP causes serious damage to skeletons. This gap in the kneesis patella fracture. This needs to be brought back together & fixed surgically (screws & sutures) to allow him to extend knee again. So you want to be a fighter?" wrote Dr. David Abbasi in the caption.

MVP calls out Yaroslav Amosov for a fight

After his impressive TKO win at Bellator 292, MVP aka Michael 'Venom' Page spoke to John McCarthy for his post-fight interview.

In the interview, 'Venom' wished for a healthy recovery for his opponent Goiti Yamauchi. Page then proceeded to call out the current Bellator welterweight king Yaroslav Amosov for a fight:

"You wanna see me fight Amosov? You wanna see that fight? Let's make it happen."

With the victory, Page bounced back from his defeat to Logan Storley at Bellator 281. Prior to that, MVP was riding a six-fight win streak in the promotion.

Amosov, on the other hand, is undefeated in his MMA career and has a professional record of 27-0. In his last outing, the Ukrainian fought Storley and secured a dominant decision win to unify the welterweight title.

Considering that Page's last loss took place in an interim title fight, 'Venom' might need to secure at least one more win in order to earn a shot at the title.
