With 2023 almost on the horizon, UFC fight fans might be wondering how many of the promotion's fight events are left in 2022.

According to the official UFC website, the promotion is scheduled to host two more fight events in 2022. The next upcoming card is the company's last pay-per-view event of the year, UFC 282.

After former light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka pulled out of the event owing to a shoulder injury, the pay-per-view card will now be headlined by Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev for the vacant light heavyweight title.

The fight card will also feature a lightweight matchup between rising superstar Paddy Pimblett and former Cage Fury Fighting Championship featherweight kingpin Jared Gordon. The pay-per-view event is slated for December 10 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The premier fight promotion will close out the year with a Fight Night headlined by middleweight contenders Jared Cannonier and Sean Strickland. In another standout fight on the card, No.9-ranked lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan will take on the No.12 seed Damir Ismagulov.

The highly touted women's strawweight fighter Cheyanne Vlismas is also set to lock horns with surging contender Cory McKenna as part of the fight card. The event is scheduled for December 17 at the Apex facility in Las Vegas.

What is the first UFC pay-per-view event of 2023?

UFC 283 will mark the promotion's first pay-per-view event of 2023. The fight card, scheduled for January 21 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, will most likely be headlined by the flyweight title fight between Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno.

This will be the fourth and perhaps final meeting between the two men, who currently hold one win and a draw against each other. The event will also set the stage for what could possibly be former light-heavyweight champion Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua's retirement fight. Rua will take on Ukrainian fighter Ihor Potieria on the pay-per-view card. No. 11 ranked light-heavyweight contender Johnny Walker is also slated to take on the No.8 seed Paul Craig in Rio de Janeiro.
