Jake Paul cites health issues as possible reason for underperforming against Tommy Fury

Prior to their eight-round professional boxing showdown, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury verbally agreed to a bet that the fight's winner would take home the loser's paycheck as well while the loser gets nothing.

Presently, it's unclear as to whether or not Paul has kept his word and paid the Fury family prodigy.

That said, Jake Paul emphasized that he's exercising his rematch clause and would like to face Tommy Fury next. 'TNT' too agreed to a second fight. However, the rematch hasn't been officially announced yet.

Additionally, during his in-ring post-fight interview, Paul insinuated that health issues in training camp caused him to underperform.

The boxing star and MMA aspirant said:

"Honestly, I felt flat. I got sick really bad twice in this camp, injured my arm... It wasn’t my best performance, but I lost. I’m not making excuses. I’m just saying it wasn’t my best performance. I felt a little flat. And like I said, we’re gonna come back and get that W."
