UFC 280 is just a week away and features a star-heavy main card with two championship belts on the line. It will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, also dubbed 'Fight Island'.

The main card is available via pay-per-view through an ESPN+ subscription. New subscribers can pay $99.98 for the UFC 280 PPV and an annual ESPN+ subscription. A subsequent $69.99 fee will follow to renew the subscription.

Meanwhile, existing subscribers only have to fork out $74.99 to view the blockbuster event on pay-per-view.

Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev will headline the card and contend for the vacant lightweight championship. Oliveira will be looking to reclaim his belt after losing it on the scales by missing weight at UFC 274 and not through defeat inside the octagon. Makhachev, meanwhile, will be itching to silence his critics and prove himself worthy of being Khabib Nurmagomedov's successor.

The bantamweight championship will also be on the line as Aljamain Sterling enters his second title defense, this time against former two-time champion TJ Dillashaw.

More bantamweight and lightweight representation follows as No.1 contender Petr Yan takes on Sean O'Malley in a highly-anticipated bantamweight bout. Beneil Dariush also takes on Mateusz Gamrot in an exciting lightweight matchup.

Charles Oliveira vows to 'shock the world' at UFC 280

The build-up to the UFC 280 main event has fleshed out a rivalry between the two opposing camps of Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev.

Despite being a former champion, 'Do Bronx' has been billed as the underdog against Makhachev. Oliveira has also cited favoritism, with the venue being more of a second home for Makhachev and his team owing to their popular following in the Middle East.

In an interview with ESPN, Oliveira vowed to prove all of his doubters wrong:

“I’m going to shock the world yet again. Well, opinions are subjective and some people believe that I would be a potential winner, he [Makhachev] would be a potential winner. But I’m gonna show that my history, my background, the number of fights I’ve had, my contenders, these will come to show on that very night. In this sense, I’ll shock the world because people will change their opinion about this.” [h/t Low Kick MMA]

Only time will tell if Oliveira will prevail against Makhachev or the latter will win his first championship fight in the UFC.
