Denis Puric believes he can walk out of the Lumpinee Stadium with his hand raised next Friday, though he expects to be put through the wringer before that happens.
'The Bosnian Menace' is back in action at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6. That evening, the 39-year-old warhorse meets Elias Mahmoudi in a flyweight Muay Thai slugfest.
Having completed his appraisal of his dance partner, the experienced Team CSK affiliate knows his foe won't have anything too surprising that will spell danger. Still, he thinks it'll be far from an easy test in Bangkok, Thailand.
Denis Puric told ONE Championship in a pre-fight interview:
"It's gonna be a lot of back and forth for sure, 'cause he's good, man. But I can put him down."
Denis Puric believes he was the rightful winner in epic Rodtang war at ONE 167
Heading into this war, Puric requires a rebound win to get his career back on track. In his last outing, the Bosnian-Canadian slugger ventured into the world of kickboxing to face off against Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE 167.
Though he succumbed to a unanimous decision loss to the fan favorite, he fought tooth and nail with 'The Iron Man' until the final bell. So much so that he disagrees with the outcome of the fight.
In the same interview with the promotion, he went on to add:
"I feel like that fight with Rodtang, I didn't think I lost that fight. Maybe the judges say he won, but I didn't feel like I lost."
Not one to sit back and make excuses, Denis Puric is fired up to reverse his fortunes, get his hand raised, and finish the year strong when he takes to the Circle against Mahmoudi at ONE Fight Night 26.
