John Lineker has always been one of the most devastating knockout artists to ever compete in MMA.
He has terrorized the bantamweight MMA division for many, many years with his frightening and patented 'Hands of Stone'. The Brazilian slugger has recently embarked on a new path that also allows him to make good use of the weapons that he carries by his side.
Following a typically ruthless performance on his Muay Thai debut at ONE 168 where he stopped Asa Ten Pow in December, Lineker was back in search of another win at ONE Fight Night 25.
The striking pedigree of Alexey Balyko was no match for the seismic force that was coming back at him and following three knockdowns in the opening round, the fight came to a sudden end.
In his post-fight interview with Mitch Chilson inside the ring at Lumpinee Stadium, the former ONE bantamweight MMA world champion spoke about how if ONE Championship continues to give him these bouts, he will continue to deliver highlights:
"First of all, I'd like to say thank you ONE for this opportunity. This is what I do, every time I come, I knock out everyone."
John Lineker is doing what he does best
John Lineker has always been incredibly effective in MMA after all, his frightening power saw him become the ONE bantamweight MMA world champion.
However, Muay Thai suits him so incredibly well because it removes the chance of him being taken down by his opponents, which is no easy task either.
This means that his opponents are forced to contend with his punching power and in four-ounce gloves, it really only takes one shot for him to close the show.
Lineker has always been an all-action fighter but that's hitting new heights in the bantamweight Muay Thai division where his power is separating him from the pack.
The replay of ONE Fight Night 25 is available on demand for Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
