British striking dynamo George Jarvis has earned enthusiastic support from fellow countryman Freddie Haggerty ahead of his massive showdown at ONE Fight Night 34 on Friday, Aug. 1.
That evening, 'G-Unit' dukes it out against divisional king Regian Eersel for his ONE lightweight Muay Thai world championship inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. Their five-round tie serves as the main event of the showcase.
The younger brother of ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty expressed genuine excitement about Jarvis' chances to claim 26 pounds of gold.

Haggery admitted that he cannot wait to see how their showdown unfolds inside the Mecca of Muay Thai.
"I know George has got a fight coming up. George Jarvis, I'm excited for this one. I think it's August 1. I'm excited for that one," the 20-year-old Freddie Haggerty told the South China Morning Post (SCMP) recently.
Jarvis' shot at the Surinamese warrior's 26 pounds of gold did come as a surprise to many. However, the Englishman is more than deserving of his first five-round battle in the promotion after a string of eye-catching performances.
The Lumpini Crawley man has won four in a row against Mustafa Al Tekreeti, Ricardo Bravo, Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong, and Mouchine Chafi to establish himself as the leading contender to the throne.
Now, he finds himself one win away from world title glory, which unfolds at ONE Fight Night 34 in August. North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription can catch the entire card live in U.S. primetime for free.

Freddie Haggerty wants Jordan Estupinan rematch
Freddie Haggerty's campaign in ONE Championship kicked off with three finishes from as many outings in 2024. Unfortunately, the Knowlesy Academy and Team Underground affiliate had a night to forget in his last outing.
The Londoner was handed a tough defeat at the hands of Jordan Estupinan in his flyweight Muay Thai debut at ONE 170 this past January.
However, he knows with more game time in flyweight, he should continue racking up the wins in the Circle. And if that lands him a rematch against the undefeated Colombian slugger, Freddie is supremely confident that the result won't favor Estupinan.
"I mean, if I naturally grow into that weight class, and I can't make strawweight anymore, and if he's at the top, then I don't see why not. I do genuinely believe I beat him nine times out of ten. I just didn't have much to go off. That was all," he told SCMP in the same interview.
