The fans were over the moon with his recent announcement. Even MMA megastars took to the comment section to shower him with support.

Fans haven’t seen Sage Northcutt fight since he made his last appearance on ONE: Enter the Dragon in May 2019. The karate prodigy had a great future ahead of him after fighting in top MMA organizations in the United States. He garnered a record of 11 wins and 2 losses before becoming a free agent and choosing ONE Championship as his new home.

However, after suffering a devastating injury in his first-round knockout loss to Cosmo Alexandre in his promotional debut, ‘Super’ Sage took his time to recover and now aims to return to his winning ways.

‘Super’ Sage Northcutt has a difficult task ahead against Pakistani powerhouse Ahmed Mujtaba

Sage Northcutt’s first challenge of the year will not be easy. He is set to square off against one of Pakistan’s brightest stars in ‘Wolverine’ Ahmed Mujtaba.

The 29-year-old sensation made an impression in his last outing at ONE 163: Akimoto vs. Petchmorakot. Mujtaba only needed one round to stop BJJ black belt Abraão Amorim with a beautiful rear-naked choke.

With a fighting style very similar to his MMA idol Khabib Nurmagomedov, ‘Wolverine’ is both versatile on the feet and on the ground. His wrestling acumen and striking capabilities will be a challenge for Sage Northcutt, who has been out of action for quite a while.

However, Northcutt has been focusing a lot on his jiu-jitsu as well as refining his striking while he was away, which makes their upcoming matchup even more intriguing to watch.

North American audiences can catch the event live and for free with an Amazon Prime Video subscription.
