At ONE on Prime Video 4, ‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman will face the biggest test of his career to date. The Filipino fighter has hit the ground running in his two fights with ONE Championship. However, a fight with former two-time bantamweight world champion Bibiano Fernandes is a whole new level of competition.

Fernandes well enter the fight off the back of losing his bantamweight championship earlier this year in devastating fashion to John Lineker. Whilst the veteran gave a good account of himself in the fight, proving that he cannot be taken lightly despite his age, Stephen Loman believes he has learned a lot from the bout.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the Team Lakay representative revealed exactly what he has gained from studying Fernandes’ last fight:

“I have replayed it at least three times. I saw that in the first round, he took Lineker to the ground and controlled him. But I think he got tired in the second round, which is why Lineker was able to take him with his striking.”

He added:

“I think it also helped that Lineker had a good first round so he was still fresh and strong in the second. Maybe age had something to do with Bibiano not being able to recover quick enough for the second round.”

Stephen Loman will face Bibiano Fernandes at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18, live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Stephen Loman says Fabricio Andrade beat John Lineker

‘The Sniper’ Stephen Loman finds himself right near the top of the bantamweight division. Likely being just one fight away from a world championship shot himself, Loman paid special attention to the title fight between John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade.

Whilst the fight may have ended in a no contest due to an unintentional foul from Andrade, the rising contender was in the ascendancy at the time and proved a lot of his pre-fight predictions correct.

Loman shared his thoughts on the fight in an interview with The MMA Super-Fan, saying:

"Both Andrade and Lineker really showed their striking game but I saw that Andrade was really the sharper one between them. I even saw Lineker shoot for a takedown but even then Andrade still had the advantage. Andrade easily got up after Lineker’s takedown attempt, and that added another layer during their match."
