Michael Chandler's recent social media post urging people to vote drew mixed reactions from fight fans. The United States presidential elections are scheduled for Nov. 5 and many prominent figures from the MMA community have chimed in with their thoughts on the same.

Chandler posted a video montage featuring prominent figures like Vivek Ramaswamy and Donald Trump, among others. The video aimed to motivate people to vote. However, it also reaffirmed Chandler's support for Trump.

When Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor engaged in a social media altercation over Donald Trump

In August, Donald Trump said that Khabib Nurmagomedov is his favorite UFC fighter. McGregor, who was embroiled in a fierce competitive rivalry with the former UFC lightweight champion, questioned the former American president's choice in a social media post.

Chandler, who was furious at the Irishman for pulling out of their UFC 303 fight due to an injury, responded:

''Stop it….@TheNotoriousMMA. If you had half the ba*ls that DT had you would have shown up June 29th. Instead you’re normal walking, beer chuggin’ Austin 3:16 style at a local fight show/motorcycle rally in South Dakota, a RED, 100% #maga state by the way.''

McGregor retaliated with a stinging jab:

''Bro he doesn’t even know who the f**k you are lol. He probably thinks you are a little broke begging a***wipe''

Chandler, who still has his eyes set on a potential mega-fight against McGregor, called him out for a December showdown while predicting the outcome:

''He does @TheNotoriousMMA. But that is neither here nor there. Here’s the deal - I beat your a*s in December…I bet my entire career on it. End the year back flipping over your lifeless body on the canvas.''

Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor's altercation

After the McGregor fight fell apart, Chandler has been booked to rematch former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira at UFC 309 on Nov. 16. The duo competed in a vacant lightweight title fight at UFC 262 and Oliveira defeated Chandler by a second-round TKO to claim the 155-pound strap. Meanwhile, the date of McGregor's return to competition has not been announced so far.
