Islam Makhachev recently shared some intriguing details about Khabib Nurmagomedov and sent fans into a frenzy by revealing the former UFC lightweight champion's current weight. Makhachev claimed that Nurmagomedov is 204 pounds but weighs in at 212 pounds when he's traveling.

Nurmagomedov retired from professional fighting after defeating Justin Gaethje via second-round submission in Oct. 2020. Throughout his career, Nurmagomedov became known for his dominant fighting style and incredible grappling prowess. He left the sport with a perfect 29-0 record, with wins over high-profile fighters like Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Edson Barboza.

During a recent interview with Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman on the Pound 4 Pound podcast, the reigning UFC lightweight champion spoke about close friend and training partner Nurmagomedov's weight. He revealed that 'The Eagle' walked around at 204 pounds (94.5 kilos) and got up to 212 pounds (96 kilos) while traveling.

After @ChampRDS posted the news on X, fight fans flocked to the comments section to express their surprise and awe. One fan speculated that if Nurmagomedov were to return to fighting, he'd have to compete at welterweight and wrote:

"Yeah, he’s never fighting at LW again. If he ever came back, WW would be the lowest I see him going."

Another fan opined that the former 155-pound champion was always a "weight bully" and wrote:

"Yet ppl still try to argue bro wasn’t a weight bully. Embarrassing. He should have been a welterweight. But he knows he wouldn’t have that undefeated record."

One user wrote:

"Kid was HUGE for the division."

Islam Makhachev on Khabib Nurmagomedov never missing training sessions: "This guy misses the fighting"

As mentioned, Khabib Nurmagomedov retired from professional fighting in Oct. 2020 after an incredibly dominant reign as the UFC lightweight champion. Nurmagomedov cited his father's tragic death as the reason behind his decision to call it a career and vowed never to return to the cage.

While it's highly unlikely that Nurmagomedov will break his vow, his close friend Islam Makhachev recently revealed that 'The Eagle' misses fighting. Speaking to Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman on the Pound 4 Pound podcast, he said:

"I think he is happy, but this guy misses the fighting, fight camps. That's why he joins with us everywhere. In long time, now he will come here, and he loves to train. Everyday he trains. Not just when he's with us. Everyday this guy is training. He has a house in the village. He has a house in the city. Both houses have sauna. Both houses have very good gym, swimming pool. This guy is training everyday. For the good dinner, he has to train."
