UFC bantamweight fighter Kyler Phillips has not been removed from the UFC roster. But the 27-year-old is ineligible for the UFC rankings due to currently being under suspension.

In March 2023, Phillips, along with Darrius Flowers, were temporarily suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after they tested positive for Ostarine, a banned suspension.

Kyler Phillips was scheduled to fight Raphael Assuncao on March 11 at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada. 'Matrix' pulled out of the fight due to undisclosed reasons and was replaced by Davey Grant.

During his short stint in the UFC, Kyler Phillips has proven himself to be an entertaining fighter. In just five fights in the multi-billion dollar promotion, the 27-year-old has racked up two 'Fight of the Night' bonuses and one 'Performance of the Night' bonus.

Phillips made his UFC debut in February 2020. 'Matrix' took on Gabriel Silva in a bantamweight bout that night. The fight went the full 15-minute distance and ended with a unanimous decision victory for Phillips.

Phillips then stacked up two more wins against Cameron Else and Song Yadong. 'Matrix' then hit a roadblock in July 2021 when he went up against Raulian Paiva and lost the contest via majority decision.

In his last UFC outing in February 2022, Phillips bounced back from his loss to Paiva and submitted Marcel Rojo with a triangle armbar at UFC 271.

'The Matrix' is currently 10-2 as a professional fighter with a 4-1 record in the UFC.

Kyler Phillips' teammate Sean O'Malley also tested positive for ostarine in the past

UFC's rising star and Kyler Phillips' teammate Sean O'Malley also has a past involving the banned substance Ostarine. 'Suga' tested positive for the banned substance in 2018 and as a result, was punished with a six-month suspension by USADA.

O'Malley then went on to face another six-month suspension in 2019 after testing positive for Ostarine once again. After completing his second suspension, O'Malley his return at UFC 248 in March 2020. The 28-year-old took on José Quiñónez that night and defeated him via knockout in the opening round of the fight. 'Suga' also earned a 'Performance of the Night' bonus worth $50,000 that night.
