Strahinja Jokic, the eldest of the three brothers, is also a basketball player and is credited for inspiring Nikola to pursue the sport. Standing at 6’8", the Serbian native played basketball in Europe for most of his career.

On one occasion in November 2021, Nikola Jokic clashed with Miami Heat forward Markieff Morris, leading to hostilities breaking out between the families of both players on social media.

As fans speculated the outcome of a potential tag-team fight between the Jokic brothers and the Morris brothers, an account on Twitter posted footage of Nemanja's KO. Fans reacted in the comments section.
