Reigning UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad recently turned up to Survivor Series, one of the WWE's most important annual events. His ringside presence quickly drew the attention of fans on social media, especially given that he was originally meant to fight at UFC 310, which is just a week away.
Unfortunately, an injury and subsequent infection led to Muhammad's withdrawal from the pay-per-view, where he would have defended his newly acquired welterweight title against the unbeaten Shavkat Rakhmonov. Despite having pulled out of UFC 310, he hasn't allowed that to stop him from enjoying himself.
WWE Superstars are often cage-side for UFC events, so it comes as little surprise that Muhammad returned the favor. On X/Twitter, fans had a mixed reaction to his presence at WWE Survivor Series, with one questioning why he could turn up for a WWE event but not fight at UFC 310.

"But he can't fight next week?" they asked.
This was, to a degree, echoed by another fan who questioned Muhammad's injury.
"Isn't he injured?" they questioned.
Some, though, showed respect to Muhammad as the welterweight champion.
"Welterweight royalty in the building," a fan wrote.
Another fan brought up the welterweight champion's friendship with CM Punk, whose real name is Phil Brooks, as a reason for him attending the event, as the latter wrestled in the main event.
"He's good friends with Phil Brooks (CM Punk), wonder if that's why he's there?" they posted.
A collage of fan reactions can be seen below:
Although Muhammad won't fight at UFC 310, his opponent, Rakhmonov, will take on another undefeated welterweight in Ian Machado Garry in a title eliminator.
Belal Muhammad isn't the only UFC fighter to attend WWE events
UFC fighters have attended WWE events in the past. However, Belal Muhammad's appearance at the WWE Survivor Series is the latest promotional push for UFC stars. It comes after both the UFC and WWE were brought under the corporate umbrella of TKO Group Holdings.
Michael Chandler is another notable example. The UFC lightweight was on an episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, where he cut a promo calling out Conor McGregor.
In a case preceding the existence of TKO Group Holdings, former UFC double champion Daniel Cormier served as the guest referee for Seth Rollins vs. Matt Riddle at WWE Extreme Rules in 2022.
