Reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom is getting himself physically and mentally prepared for arguably the most important fight of his career.
Haggerty is set to rematch former tormentor 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 this weekend in Denver, and he can't stop visualizing victory over his Thai counterpart.
Speaking to South China Morning Post in a recent interview, Haggerty says he has been jogging past the Ball Arena over the past few weeks just to take in the big fight atmosphere and get himself mentally ready to go to war.
'The General' said:
"We're actually not too far away from the Ball Arena. So every time before training, I run past it, and after training, I run past it, and there are always queues outside, people queuing up. I'm just thinking to myself, people are going to be queuing up, coming to watch me for the main event. So not only just me, but the whole fight card. But it's a little bit surreal, and it's exciting, and I can't wait to get in there now."
Fans won't have to wait long to see Haggerty and Superlek trade strikes in the Circle.
