Alexis Nicolas returns to the global stage of ONE Championship at ONE Fight Night 25, albeit in a very different setting.
In his last outing, the French striking sensation captured Regian Eersel's ONE lightweight kickboxing world championship in a tightly contested five-round scrap.
With the target now on his back as he runs it back against 'The Immortal' in the main event of the Oct. 4 spectacle inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the Mahmoudi Gym star is thrilled to show the world why he completely deserves his spot atop the throne.
In a recent clip uploaded by Phuket Fight Club, Alexis Nicolas sent a message to his fans and explained what this opportunity means to him. The 26-year-old said:
"My fanbase has grown, and it's a true honor. I can't wait to make the French and Thai fans proud as they follow me more. It's truly an honor.
"I really want to thank you all. I'm far from home. [I] left my family and friends to chase my dream and make them proud. This fight will be on major TV networks worldwide."
The Parisian athlete will be out to extend his unbeaten streak to 25-0 when he takes to the ring inside the 'Mecca of Muay Thai' next month.
As for Eersel, the ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion wants to capture two-sport glory again after having his 22-fight win streak crushed in their first encounter at ONE Fight Night 21 in April.

Regian Eersel feeling the pressure ahead of Alexis Nicolas redo
Despite being near immortal through his campaign in the promotion, Regian Eersel admits he's feeling the heat as he crosses paths with Alexis Nicolas for the second time.
Per 'The Immortal', the stakes are much higher given that he will be playing the role of the hunter come ONE Fight Night 25.
"You know, the pressure to win is even higher than defending my belt. But it's going well. I'm satisfied."
North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription can catch the entire ONE Fight Night 25 card live in U.S. primetime for free on Friday, Oct. 4.
