Denice Zamboanga expects Alyona Rassohnya to be her toughest test yet.

After earning three straight wins against Lin Heqin, Julie Mezabarba, and Noelle Grandjean, 'The Menace' will have to chance to bring 26 pounds of gold back home to the Philippines on Friday, January 10.

On that night, Zamboanga will square off with fourth-ranked contender Alyona Rassohyna at ONE Fight Night 27 inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand to crown an interim ONE atomweight MMA world champion.

Speaking with The MMA Superfan, Zamboanga expects Rassohyna to give her a real run for her money.

"I can see from her fight against Stamp that she’s really aggressive and unpredictable, especially her submissions," Zamboaga said. "So I think it will be a big challenge, and it won’t be an easy fight for me."

Overall, Zamboanga is 6-2 under the ONE Championship banner with 11 career victories. Aside from her latest trio of Ws on martial arts' biggest global stage, she has also bested fellow atomweight contender Jihin Radzuan, Japanese MMA legend Mei Yamaguchi, and former national Judo champion Wasapinya Kaewkhong.

Denice Zamboanga determined to bring a ONE world title home no matter what it takes

Originally, Denice Zamboanga was scheduled to face undisputed atomweight queen Stamp Fairtex at ONE 167 in June.

Weeks before their bout, Stamp suffered a meniscus injury that forced her to bow out of the bout and undergo surgery. With Stamp's return to the Circle still up in the air, Zamboanga will get her chance to become a ONE world champion — a goal she's determined to achieve no matter who is standing in her way or the challenge they present.

"No matter what I feel in that cage or ring, I don't really care," Zamboanga said. What's important is for me to bring that belt back home to the Philippines."

Who scores the biggest win of their career and sets the stage for a future showdown with the Thai superstar?

Fans in the United States and Canada can watch ONE Fight Night 27 live on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, January 10 in U.S. primetime.
