Jake Paul labels his loss to Tommy Fury as a "gift from the universe"

Jake Paul v Tommy Fury - fight night

Jake Paul has seemingly dealt with his loss to Tommy Fury pretty well.

'The Problem Child' took on his long-time rival Tommy Fury on February 26th in a highly anticipated matchup. Going into the fight, a lot was on the line for both fighters. While Paul was fighting for some credibility from the boxing purists, 'TNT' had to fight for his family name. Ultimately, Fury came out on top.

After a hard fought eight-round fight, it was Tommy Fury who edged over Paul with a split-decision victory. Having fallen short in his first 'real' test as a pro-boxer, 'The Problem Child' was certainly expected to struggle to accept his maiden defeat.

However, that does not seem to be the case. Jake Paul has dealt with his loss pretty well and the 6-1 boxer believes that his loss was a "gift from the universe" in terms of his personal growth as a human being. While talking about the same during a recent episode of Impaulsive, Paul stated:

"This is a gift from the universe. If we're talking about in terms of life and my personal growth as a human being then this is a gift from the universe, this is a win."

Paddy Pimblett comments on Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury

The Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury fight has been one of the most talked about boxing bouts in recent times. The fight caught the attention of many notable figures in the combat sports world, including UFC lightweight star Paddy Pimblett.

Pimblett reacted to the fight in a recent interview with TMZ Sports. He slammed Paul's performance and suggested that 'The Problem Child' was worse than he had thought. Furthermore, 'The Baddy' even claimed that it shouldn't have been a split-decision:

"It seems to me like Tommy Fury was boxing badly against his last few opponents on purpose, know what I mean? Or Jake Paul is just a terrible boxer, even worse than I thought. I was giving him more credit than I thought he deserved. I don't think it was a split-decision, either. I thought it was a unanimous decision. Tommy won most rounds."
