YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul is set to make his long-awaited foray into mixed martial arts, having chosen UFC competitor the Professional Fighters League (PFL) as his destination.

Per an initial report by The New York Times, the 25-year-old has signed a multi-year deal with the promotion. He is also starting a new "Super Fight" division in the PFL and is now an equity shareholder in the fight promotion, along with his business partner Nakisa Bidarian.

Paul and Bidarian are among the founders of the new division, with 'The Problem Child' enjoying the role of "head of fighter advocacy." Among his responsibilities is the use of his immense online presence to popularize the organization and its fighters.

Bidarian, who was previously the chief financial officer of the UFC, will assist the PFL with logistics for pay-per-view events.

The new division, in which Paul is expected to fight, will conduct bouts between big names who can bring in an abundance of paying customers.

Moreover, athletes competing in the Super Fight division will reportedly earn at least 50% of the pay-per-view revenue, which is leaps and bounds greater than the revenue share enjoyed by UFC fighters. Bouts under the new division will be distributed by ESPN and DAZN.

In an interview with the Times, Paul said:

“This is about changing MMA, disrupting, innovating, and creating the next big league.”

Jake Paul offers Nate Diaz a two-fight deal

In a recent video posted to Jake Paul's YouTube channel, the celebrity boxing superstar elaborated on his recent signing with the PFL. I looks like 'The Problem Child' already has an opponent in mind for his MMA debut.

In the video. the 25-year-old offered former UFC athlete Nate Diaz a two-fight deal. Per the YouTuber's offer, the duo would first engage in a boxing match, followed by an MMA fight in the PFL six months later.

Paul said:

"I’m so dedicated to this that I offered Nate Diaz a two-fight deal. First we box. Then six months later, we fight MMA in the PFL SmartCage and lay it all on the line. If that’s not balls, then I don’t know what is. Nate Diaz, I’m down to fight you in your own damn sport. It’s a two-fight deal. Let’s make it happen."

A matchup between the two is not far-fetched since Diaz has shown interest in fighting Jake Paul in the past.
