Jake Paul received plenty of praise from Kenny Florian for the hard work and dedication he's putting into his MMA training.

While speaking with MMA Fighting, Florian discussed the impact of having Paul join the PFL and make his MMA debut later this year. He mentioned that he likes that the YouTuber-turned-boxer is taking this venture into MMA seriously and is working hard at improving.

He said:

"For him to go in there, train hard, prepare for these boxing fights, he's picking the right fights, clearly an intelligent guy. He's making the right decisions of who he fights. He's performing. He's showing that he is dangerous. Now he wants to try his hand at mixed martial arts. I love it."

'KenFlo' also brought up that he isn't necessarily a fan of the social media influencer boxing scene, but has gained a lot of respect for 'The Problem Child.' He mentioned that despite the boxing experience, there are still skills that the 26-year-old will have to learn if he wants to be successful in MMA, saying:

"There's so much to the game when you're talking about all the different skills he needs to have...The weight-cutting, the nutrition, the strength and conditioning. There is so much to do when preparing for a mixed martial arts contest. He will find out about that very soon."

Florian will have the best seat for Paul's MMA debut as the former TUF runner-up currently works as a member of the PFL's broadcasting team as a color commentator.

Kenny Florian believes top PFL heavyweights can hang with Francis Ngannou

Kenny Florian weighed in on Francis Ngannou's free agency after the former heavyweight champion declined the UFC's contract proposal.

Now that he is a free agent, 'KenFlo' would love to see Ngannou join the PFL for obvious reasons as it would bring a lot of attention to the promotion and their new Super Fight division. While speaking with MMA Junkie, the former UFC title challenger even claimed that the top PFL heavyweight can hang with 'The Predator.'

He said:

"As far as the heavyweight division, we may not have the same depth as the UFC in the heavyweight division, but I think the top three or four guys in the PFL, I think they can hang with a lot of the top three or four guys in the UFC, no question about it."

It remains to be seen where Ngannou will sign, but it does seem like he will be competing in a lucrative boxing bout first before deciding where to continue his MMA career.
