Fighting at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, on December 3, Pacio will be looking for his fourth world title defense. Standing in his way is the formidable and relentless Jarred Brooks.

Brooks is a strong top-position style wrestler. Thus far in ONE Championship, no one has been able to touch 'The Monkey God'. Regarding his ONE 164 world championship showdown, Brooks added:

"I’m super excited for this bout and it’s years in the making so it’s gonna be definitely not a doozy. We’re gonna be going out and trying to kill each other."

Jarred Brooks feels that he has already defeated Joshua Pacio

Joshua Pacio will enjoy popular support as he competes in his home nation at ONE 164. Regardless, his opponent feels that he has already won the world title.

In the same interview, Brooks said:

“I don’t think Joshua Pacio is ever gonna catch up to what I’ve brought and I have fought better than Joshua Pacio, no knock to him. I have not fought the Wushu caliber with the calculated mind that Joshua Pacio has, but there’s just no way man [that Pacio would win]."

He continued:

"I’ve already got the checkmate before you even moved your first pawn. I know that Josh isn’t gonna come close to my style.”

On December 3, headlining ONE 164, Jarred Brooks will look to capture the ONE strawweight world championship. Meanwhile, reigning strawweight king Joshua Pacio will be looking to add to his own legacy by defeating 'The Monkey God'.
