During his last fight against Alexander Hernandez at UFC Vegas 69, Jim Miller, a veteran of the UFC, sustained a severe eye injury. Initially, Miller downplayed the injury, referring to it as minor bruising. However, as time passed, he began to experience blurry vision in his right eye, prompting him to seek medical attention.

Following a visit to an ophthalmologist, Miller received a troubling diagnosis - a traumatic cataract. The injury is a serious one, and Miller's prognosis remains uncertain at this time. The news has come as a blow to his fans and the UFC community, who are hoping for his speedy recovery.

Jim Miller provided an update to fans on the traumatic cataract damage sustained during the UFC Vegas 69 loss. The veteran 155-pounder wrote:

"Update on my eyeball. Not the one I wanted to get, but I’ll continue to move forward. While the gods were kind enough to grant me a spare, they weren’t kind enough to make that spare as good as this one. Or prevent that spare one from being poked really bad 5 years ago. I still have a brown one that’s healthy though, so there’s that."

For 'A-10', the injury has cast a shadow of uncertainty over his future in the sport. While fans and the UFC community are hoping for his speedy recovery, it remains unclear if and when he will be able to return to the competition. Regardless, Jim Miller's contributions to the sport and his status as a respected veteran of the UFC remain intact.

Jim Miller expresses his willingness to compete at UFC 300

Jim Miller, a long-time UFC fighter, is aiming to have his final bout at a future milestone pay-per-view event. Having been with the promotion since 2008, Miller has now approached 41st fight in the octagon and hopes to compete in a few more before retiring.

He has already appeared at UFC 100 and UFC 200, and is determined to fight at the next century-mark event, UFC 300. While Miller still enjoys the opportunity to showcase his skills in every fight, his ultimate goal is to be the only fighter to have fought at UFC 100, UFC 200, and UFC 300.

While interacting with the journalists before his bout on UFC Vegas 69, the 'A-10' stated:

"I said I wanted to get to UFC 300. I’m pretty certain at this point that my body can make it, you know, barring something catastrophic. I’ve said if that I make it there, I want it to be my last UFC fight, and I’m pretty good with that. But I don’t want it to be one more fight in between. I would like UFC 300 to be my 45th UFC fight.”
