Joe Rogan recently reiterated that he is not a fan of charities and non-profit organizations. The UFC commentator said that it perturbs him whenever he finds out about people running charities and making millions under the guise of philanthropy.

On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) podcast with Dave Portnoy (#1920), the 55-year-old comedian discussed what irks him about the egocentric altruism of people who donate to such charities to "feel good." Rogan further noted the massive cost of running such charities and said:

"Charities bother me when I find out that the people behind them are making millions of dollars. That is scary. That freaks me out... There's just too much overhead... There's a list of charities that you can find online where you can see what their overhead is and how much money actually gets to the people, and it's a very small percentage."

When Joe Rogan and Joey Diaz discussed charity scams

The aforementioned episode is not the first time Joe Rogan has expressed his disdain for charities and non-profit organizations scamming people. Rogan has previously called out such operations for using a very small percentage of the donated amounts for the actual cause.

In an older episode of the JRE podcast with Joey Diaz (#1778), Rogan and his fellow veteran stand-up comic discussed the various facets of such goodwill organizations that accept donations from the general public. Rogan stated:

"There's a bunch of charities like that. There's a bunch of causes that a lot of people got behind, and then you find out like, 'Oh, this is just like a way for people to make money...' It's a good tax write-off and a good way for them to feel good about their money."
