"I don't think Ronaldo is in the top five" – Joe Rogan and Lex Fridman discuss the greatest soccer player of all time

During a recent appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE), physicist Lex Fridman shared that he believes Lionel Messi is, by far, a better player than Cristiano Ronaldo.

He then shared that the Portuguese star does not even make his top five:

"It has to do with movement, and it has to do with where you put priorities. The other people in the running for greatest ever - I don't even think Ronaldo's in the top five - Maradona, Pele... I think the Brazilian Ronaldo [Nazario] is better than Cristiano. Cristiano is much better looking, he's much harder working, he's an incredible soccer player, one of the greatest ever, just not in the top five for me."

Fridman added:

"Messi moves like nothing I have ever seen, and I think a lot of people agree with this. It's just moments of genius unlike anybody else. This everybody agrees on. The question is how much do you value moments of genius in terms of movement? How many things you're able to create, they're like what the f**k did I just watch? I value that above all else."

While most observers may rank Messi over Ronaldo, it is rare to hear either player being left out of anyone's top five. Both have had legendary careers. However, both players are notably without a World Cup gold trophy.

Sean O'Malley tells Joe Rogan why he still believes he is undefeated

Sean O'Malley recently appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, in which he discussed, among other things, his only career loss. Marlon 'Chito' Vera defeated 'Sugar' at UFC 252 via first-round TKO in 2020.

The now No.1-ranked bantamweight told Joe Rogan why he believes he is undefeated despite the loss on his record:

"It was a kick he [Vera] threw and I pulled out... His big toe literally pushed a button, my perineal nerve... and my foot just fell asleep... I blitzed forward, went to step back on my foot, and it wasn't there. He got on top and elbowed me. It's a loss on the record...but I didn't lose 'cause his skills were better than mine. I do not believe that."

While O'Malley does not believe that the loss to Vera counts, he noted that he would like to face his former opponent once again. With both fighters now near the top of the bantamweight division, it would be surprising if they don't meet for a rematch.
