UFC stars have been left scratching their heads after Joe Rogan shared a report that stated eggs can potentially cause blood clots when consumed.

The UFC color commentator is no stranger to sharing outlandish stories, most often discussing them with his variety of guests on the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE).

The 55-year-old took to Instagram to share the shocking report by scientists and added that he hoped the report was an act of trolling.

Joe Rogan wrote on Instagram:

"This is either some black belt level trolling, or the AI has gone sentient and it’s starting to f*ck with us."

Not only have fans of Rogan been reacting to the shocking news story, but UFC stars have also given their two-cents on the report.

Men's bantamweight star Marlon 'Chito' Vera joked that if true, the aliens on earth would be unhappy at the news:

"What would the aliens say about this 🤦🏽"

"The answer is simple: just eat lucky charms."

Joe Rogan and Belal Muhammad break down Jon Jones versus Ciryl Gane

The heavyweight division has been put on notice after Francis Ngannou's shock exit from the UFC led to a bout between Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane being made for the vacant title.

'Bones' has been away from the octagon for three years after vacating the 205-pound title, with the aim of preparing his body correctly for a move up to heavyweight.

For Gane, the Frenchman is coming into the bout having previously fought for the title against Ngannou. Most recently, he scored a stunning knockout victory over Tai Tuivasa at UFC Paris.

Last week, Rogan welcomed weltweweight Belal Muhammad onto JRE and the pair discussed the upcoming heavyweight clash. The 55-year-old questioned which Jones fans will see show up to the octagon:

“Very interesting fight. So, for Jon, it’s gonna be, can Jon take him down? How does Jon perform at heavyweight? Can Jon close the distance? Is he as fast? What was the three years off like? Is he hungrier and even better because he’s fired up?”

'Remember the Name' added that he believes 'Bon Gamin' is a tougher fight for Jon Jones than 'The Predator':

“Honestly, I think it’s a tougher fight than Francis [Ngannou]. I do. I think Ciryl Gane, his movement, his footwork. He’s so good with his front leg, and for Jon Jones, remember when he came back from OSP? He looked so stiff. That was a time off and putting a lot of muscle on. He just looked like a slower version of himself…”
