Veteran contender Denis Puric's previous comments about him have left a bad taste in Johan Ghazali's mouth. Ghazali recently shared that he still holds a grudge against him.
In his recent talk with Nick Atkin, Ghazali referred to the comment about being too young to fight him. This made the Malaysian-American athlete furious and even invited him to settle it inside the ring through a fight, as he explained:
"But one guy - old man Denis Puric. I've always had something against him, you know, because, I remember what he said, I think a few fights ago, he said, I'm too young or I can't fight him or whatever. All that's bulls**t, you know, just come fight me. Come fight me, get it over with, and go retire and have fun, you know?"

"Hell, you never know with this kind of fighters, you know. But, I feel like if anyone would want to win against me, they would try to copy that kind of style, but we're ready for it. You know, I've learned from my mistakes, and he can come at me with any style, you know. I'll be ready."
