After their first fight ended in a no contest, John Lineker has the chance to correct the mistakes he made the first time around against Fabricio Andrade.

Whilst Andrade will try to make the right adjustments to make sure he puts on another dominant performance, Lineker will try to learn from the lessons at ONE Fight Night 3 on Prime Video.

John Lineker’s signature fighting style is all about putting pressure on his opponents, walking them down and landing his explosive power.

In his fight with Andrade, his opponent's range, speed, and footwork stopped the former world champion from fighting the way he wanted to. Lineker’s limited success in the fight came when he adapted his game plan and shot for takedowns on Andrade to take away the striking and speed difference.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA, Lineker spoke about what ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video represents for the man they call ‘Hands of Stone’:

“He found a game that managed to nullify mine. But now I have the opportunity to go back and do it differently.”

ONE Fight Night 7 will emanate live from the Lumpinee Boxing Stadium on February 24. The entire event is live and free for North American viewers with an active Prime Video subscription.

WATCH: John Lineker’s terrifying ONE Championship debut against Muin Gafurov

When John Lineker first stepped inside the circle for his ONE Championship debut, he did it with the intention of shaking up the entire division and introducing himself to the fans.

Lineker arrived in ONE with a reputation to live up to. During his time competing in the United States, ‘Hands of Stone’ was known for two things - putting on great fights and knocking opponents out cold.

Paired with sambo specialist Muin Gafurov for his ONE debut, Lineker proved that both parts of his reputation are stone cold facts.

Making his ONE debut on October 25, 2019, Lineker and Gafurov put on a great back-and-forth contest that saw both men throw the kitchen sink at their opponent to try and get them out of there.

Though fans would have to wait a little bit longer in order to see a signature John Lineker knockout, his fight with Gafurov showcased exactly why he has been a fan favorite everywhere he fights.

With his takedown defense and brawling style, Lineker came close to getting a finish, but Gafurov’s toughness and ability to recover kept him in the fight, leading to a unanimous decision win for the debutant.

Before John Lineker steps inside the circle again for his rematch with Fabricio Andrade at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video, fans can take a look back in time at the fight that announced his arrival in ONE Championship with an iconic debut:
