John Lineker was thrilled to hear about ONE Championship’s partnership with Globo, the largest commercial TV network in Latin America and the second-largest commercial TV network in the world.

As announced by ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong last year, Globo’s Combate network will be the exclusive home of ONE Championship in Brazil, giving the promotion the opportunity to extend its brand to a whole new market while giving Brazilian fighters a medium for exposure like never before.

In a Sportskeeda MMA exclusive, John Lineker shared his excitement over the broadcast deal, saying:

“ONE's broadcast deal with Combate was excellent for Brazilian fighters for visibility and sponsorship,” Lineker said. “This will help us a lot and also ONE, which will have even greater visibility. And Brazilian fans will have the chance to know more about ONE. So, this agreement was very good. I hope this partnership lasts for a long time.”

Sityodtong confirmed that the deal is a multi-year agreement between the two organizations:

“This multi-year agreement will give our Brazilian fan base the opportunity to connect with ONE like never before as we present a minimum of 12 primetime events each year,” the ONE CEO announced. “Brazil is one of the most passionate combat sports regions in the world, and with a best-in-class partner like Globo distributing our content, we will be able to reach the widest audience possible in an extremely important market for ONE.”

ONE Fight Night 7 will feature an all-Brazil main event between John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade

ONE Championship’s next event on Amazon Prime Video will feature an all-Brazilian main event as the top two bantamweights in the world clash in a can’t-miss main event rematch.

Former ONE bantamweight world champion John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker will attempt to reclaim the title he lost on the scale in October as he runs it back with No. 1 ranked contender Fabricio ‘Wonder Boy’ Andrade.

The pair previously met in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 3 in Malaysia, but the bout was shrouded in controversy, kicking off with John Lineker being stripped of the title on the scale after failing to make weight for the contest. The bout moved forward with Andrade still eligible to capture the ONE world title, but an ill-placed knee from ‘Wonder Boy’ in the fourth round resulted in an anticlimactic no-contest.

On February 24th, John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade will step into the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium to settle the score once and for all. Fans in North America can watch the highly anticipated sequel live and for free on Amazon Prime Video.
