UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping shared his thoughts on the drama surrounding the heavyweight title picture. Notably, the interim champion Tom Aspinall is trying his best to get the undisputed king Jon Jones to sign the dotted line.

As of this writing, no solid word from Jones, Aspinall, or the UFC has been released to address whether or not this unification bout is ever happening.

As of recent news, Jon Jones put out a series of tweets calling out former UFC heavyweight champion and current PFL heavyweight champ Francis Ngannou. This comes at a time when 'The Predator' is not even under a UFC contract and Aspinall is still waiting on Jones for a bout.

This was addressed with fiery disapproval by Bisping, who said in a recent episode of BELIEVE YOU ME Podcast on YouTube:

"It's like bro, it doesn't matter. Francis Ngannou, by the way, has been beaten along the way by Derrick Lewis. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, he might be the PFL champ. Yeah, he might have been the former UFC champ. There's a goddamn f*cking interim champion, okay?

"If you didn't want to fight him, you should have said at the time to Dana [White], to Hunter [Campbell]. Don't do an interim belt. Do not do an interim belt, because I won't fight him. If that's how you truly felt, you know what I'm saying?"

What did Jon Jones tweet about Francis Ngannou?

The topic of the conversation stemmed from a series of tweets over the weekend that was started by Tom Aspinall.

According to Bisping's co-host, Brian Mckay, the interim UFC heavyweight champion tweeted that Jon Jones is "retired".

Shortly after that, Francis Ngannou's coach, Eric Nicksick, released a statement that his pupil is interested in a UFC return once his PFL contract expires.

After which, Jon Jones uploaded a tweet to piss off fans about the ongoing petition to strip him of his UFC heavyweight title.

'Bones' asked fans to send him essays to convince him to face Tom Aspinall. He then addressed Ngannou:

"I’m hearing Francis Ngannou is still interested… now we’re talking. That’s a real super fight. A clash of champions, not just hype. He held the UFC belt, I’ve defended mine for over a decade. Two kings from different roads. Not just one legend facing a mouth that’s hot right now, but two real legacies colliding. That’s the kind of fight that actually adds something special to my story. 👑🔥 At least from my point of view."

He followed it up with:

"You clowns thinking, Francis would be that much easier because of the ground game. Tom has no ground game either. In English black belt is like getting a participation ribbon."
