'The General' Jonathan Haggerty is getting ready for his upcoming world title showdown later this year. Before he meets the bantamweight king in the ONE circle, the English-born Haggerty looks back on his prior world title bouts against Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

While speaking with Heatrick Muay Thai Performance, 'The General' discussed his two legendary bouts against Rodtang and said:

"I’d say the first fight was, I went back to my corner after the first two rounds and I thought it was going to be a walk in the park. And as the fight progressed, I thought I was winning round one. But in the second [fight], he just proved that he stepped up a level. And that was a step higher for me, that one."

Jonathan Haggerty will be looking to earn gold in ONE Championship as he battles Nong-O Hama for the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai crown on April 21 at ONE Fight Night 9 on Prime Video. ONE Fight Night events are broadcast live and for free in North America via Prime Video.

Liam Harrison on Jonathan Haggerty vs Nong-O Hama

Jonathan Haggerty is a former ONE flyweight world titleholder who had the crown taken from him by 'The Iron Man' Rodtang. Upcoming at ONE Fight Night 9, 'The General' will look to take the throne from Nong-O Hama.

Muay Thai legend 'The Hitman' Liam Harrison discussed the upcoming world title showdown in an interview with The MMA Superfan. Harrison said:

"[Jonathan] Haggerty vs. Nong-O [Hama]. Look at how big Haggerty is and look at how big Alaverdi [Ramazanov] is. He's twice as big as Haggerty. He's got a similar style like Haggerty, all over the ring and stuff and like that, and look at [how] Nong-O just shut him down dead."
