Former ONE Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty has been paying close attention to the current Flyweight Grand Prix, specifically its finalists Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Panpayak Jitmuangnon.

'The General' believes he will beat both of them if they ever face off against him inside the circle. Haggerty had this to say in an interview with The MMA Superfan:

"The only [thing] I’d say is I can beat the pair of them. But yeah, great fight. Two of the best fighters in the world. I think they fought eight times now. A lot of respect for both of them. I feel like Panpayak might take it."

ONE Muay Thai flyweights Superlek and Panpayak have a longstanding rivalry that was scheduled to add another chapter in the Grand Prix final at ONE on Prime Video 3. However, Superlek was forced to withdraw from the bout after suffering a hand injury.

Jonathan Haggerty returns at ONE on Prime Video 4

Jonathan Haggerty is slated to make his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai debut against Vladimir Kuzmin on November 18 (US primetime). Haggerty's move up in weight comes after struggling with hydration in his previous two training camps.

His hydration issues forced him to withdraw from his last two scheduled bouts earlier in 2022. However, he feels confident heading into his bantamweight debut. 'The General' told The MMA Superfan:

"It’s all about speed, power, and precision. We’re gonna see if it works! I think we can blow Vladimir out of the waters."

The 25-year-old has won two straight contests over Taiki Naito and Mongkolpetch Petchyindee. Jonathan Haggerty is yearning to regain championship status within the promotion.

A future matchup between Haggerty and either Superlek or Panpayak would surely be electric. However, with the English native's recent move to bantamweight, expect the hypothetical bout to take place at 145 pounds.

It's tough to argue with Haggerty's move considering his difficulties making 135 pounds and seeing his physique as he prepares for his upcoming fight with Kuzmin.

Be sure to watch Jonathan Haggerty take on Vladimir Kuzmin at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18, live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
