Italian-Moroccan fighter Joseph Lasiri is ready for a war when he faces Rodtang Jitmuangnon at ONE on Prime Video 4. The strawweight Muay Thai king will be looking to become a double champion against the Muay Thai prodigy 'The Iron Man.'

'The Hurricane' discussed how he envisions this fight going on November 18. In an interview with ONE Championship, he explained:

“I see the fight in different ways. I see Joseph Lasiri winning easily. I see Joseph Lasiri working hard until the last round with more difficulty but winning. I see Joseph Lasiri [as someone who is] not prepared for this fight. I see many scenarios in my mind and I try to focus on the good one, the easy one.”

The 31-year-old will have a hugely challenging fight against Rodtang. The 25-year-old Thai striker has over 260 victories at the highest levels of Muay Thai. Lasiri wants to defeat the Muay Thai great and dedicate the win to his supporters. He continued:

“When I face off with Rodtang, I will be proud of myself, for sure. And what I’m really looking forward to is going there to do my job and making it an opportunity to be an inspiration for my team, my family, and the people around me.”

Joseph Lasiri is not motivated by money

'The Hurricane' Joseph Lasiri is not motivated by money. Instead, he explains that fighters must find something within themselves to drive their motivation. Earlier this year, he shocked the world when he defeated Prajanchai PK.Saenchai to capture the strawweight throne.

Lasiri earned a $50,000 performance bonus for his dominant victory. When asked about this in an interview on Kickin' It, he forgot about the bonus. He explained:

"After one hour I say, 'Oh guys, we win the bonus.' We forget about the bonus... Five seconds later I forgot about the bonus. I come back [to] the hotel, we were we were celebrating... We start to eat about one o'clock in the night because the emotion was too big. And then my teammate tells me, 'Joseph, you remember you win $50,000 dollars of bonus.' I say, 'Ohh.'"

The Italian-Moroccan explains that money is not his motivation. He is aiming for greatness. He added:

"If you want to push yourself, you have to find something inside yourself, not something outside."

'The Hurricane' will face the flyweight king Rodtang at ONE on Prime Video 4 on November 18. The ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion will be looking to make history and capture the flyweight Muay Thai throne. All the action will be broadcast live and for free on Amazon's streaming platform for all its subscribers.
