ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Joseph Lasiri intimated that he is a fan of fireball Danial Williams, notwithstanding that they could be stiff opponents down the line.

'The Hurricane' shared this in a recent interview with The MMA Superfan, highlighting how 'Mini T' has compiled an impressive body of work in ONE Championship and it is hard not to be impressed:

“Everyone already knows Danial Williams’ heart. We saw [him] against Rodtang, we saw in his other fights, we saw he can move divisions, we saw he can go to MMA and Muay Thai without problems. Everybody knows him, and I’m a fan of Danial Williams.”

Danial Williams made his promotional debut in April 2021, where he impressed by engaging ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a total war before bowing down by unanimous decision. He then proceeded to compete in mixed martial arts throughout 2022, recording an impressive 3-1 record.

'Mini T' makes another go at a world title as he battles ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek 'The Kicking Machine' Kiatmoo9 on March 24 at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video in Singapore. Superlek is making his first title defense since ascending to the throne in January.

All ONE Fight Night events are broadcast live and for free to North American fans with an active Prime Video subscription.

For his upcoming fight, strawweight fighter Danial Williams spent time training at Kao Sok Muay Thai in Forrestdale, Australia.

Initially slated to compete in a Muay Thai contest against Portuguese Rui Botelho at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video on March 24 in Singapore, 'Mini T' was bumped up to the main event of the show in a title match against ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9.

Williams replaced Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon, who had to pull out of the championship clash earlier this week because of an injury. Despite the sudden change, Thai-Australian slugger Williams expressed his readiness, believing he is in solid game shape following his training at Kao Sok Muay Thai and from the one he had during his trip to Thailand back in February.

For its part, Kao Sok Muay Thai is rallying behind 'Mini T,' enjoining its members to support one of their own in the all-important match against Superlek.
