Kayla Harrison's reaction to Julianna Pena's callout to former two-division champion Amanda Nunes following her win at UFC 307 has become a major subject of discussion among MMA fans worldwide. While some advocated for Pena to quit dodging Harrison, others argued that the former PFL fighter has to win a few more fights before competing for the bantamweight title.
Pena squared off against Raquel Pennigton for the women’s bantamweight title in the co-main event of UFC 307 this past Saturday. Following a fiercely contested five rounds, 'The Venezuelan Vixen' was declared the winner by split decision.
Following her win, Pena spoke to UFC commentator Joe Rogan during her octagon interview and called out Nunes for a potential trilogy fight, whom she defeated at UFC 269 in 2021.
Harrison, who holds great animosity towards Pena, mockingly responded to the reigning champion's callout, given that many believe the American will challenge for the title next.

Another fan criticized Pena for calling out Nunes.
''Man, I was rooting for Peña, but I thought she lost. I think she either needs to face Pennington again first, or fight Harrison. Stop with this Nunes cr*p.''

''Harrison needs a few more fights. Good for the hype though''
''Harrison doesn’t deserve a title shot after that performance''

Daniel Cormier believes Juliana Pena should have called out Kayla Harrison
Following her title win at UFC 307, Julianna Pena was asked who she wanted to face next, with many expecting the reigning champion to call out Kayla Harrison.
However, Pena went on to demand a potential trilogy fight with Amanda Nunes, which upset many, including Daniel Cormier, who criticized the 35-year-old on his YouTube channel for not calling out Harrison.
''I will say this, she [Pena] dropped the ball on the callout. I mean Kayla’s [Harrison] on the screen. Say her name. Why no sell the person that is clearly going to be your No. 1 contender?''
