Conor Benn continues to be a popular man in the boxing world, as Kell Brook has now called him out.

'Special K' has been out of the ring since his clash with Amir Khan last February. The bout was long in the making, as the two had been rivals for a decade before the fight happened. In the showdown, Brook scored a sixth-round knockout.

Following the victory, the former champion decided to hang up the gloves. The decision caught many fans and pundits off-guard. Prior to the contest, there was talk of the winner of Brook vs. Khan facing the rising contender Conor Benn.

Ultimately, the two sides went different ways. However, nearly a year later, it seems that Kell Brook is down for the fight.

In a recent interview with Boxing King Media, the former titleholder stated that he was interested in facing 'The Destroyer' in a possible return.

It's worth noting that his comments come just weeks after Benn was cleared by the WBC for using the banned substance Clomifene. Following that, the welterweight declared his plans to resume his career outside the U.K.

In the interview, Brook stated:

"If his boss Eddie Hearn wants to get in touch with me and pay me mega mega, I'll come out of retirement… Eddie, come and see me, we'll have a discussion."'

Conor Benn hits back at Kell Brook's recent comments

Conor Benn doesn't believe that Kell Brook really wants to fight him.

'The Destroyer' recently cleared up his doping scandal. While he's still suspended by the BBBoC, Benn recently stated his plans to compete just outside the U.K. With his suspension lifted by the WBC, he's also returned to the welterweight rankings.

Following his clearance, the Brit was linked to a clash with Manny Pacquiao. 'PacMan' retired following a loss to Yordenis Ugas in 2021 but seemed intent on ending that retirement. His manager, Sean Gibbons, later even released a mock poster for a bout between Pacquiao and Benn.

It's likely because of that potential fight that Conor Benn isn't entertaining Kell Brook. After 'Special K' showed interest in the bout, 'The Destroyer' headed to Twitter to give his thoughts. There, he stated that the fight likely won't happen.

He also seemed to hint that a sparring session between the two could be the cause of the fight not happening previously.
