Khabib Nurmagomedov has responded to Dan Hooker's claims of Islam Makhachev using an IV to rehydrate.

UFC lightweight Dan Hooker accused Islam Makhachev of using an IV drip to rehydrate after UFC 284 which a fighter is not allowed to do. In previous instances, fighters have been banned for years for using an IV to rehydrate. However, there is currently no evidence to back up Hooker's claims. In response to the Kiwi's claims, Khabib Nurmagomedov posted a cryptic message on his Instagram story:

"A bad mood is no excuse for bad manners, improve your temper in order to protect the hearts of others. (via Google Translate.)"

This is not the only controversy that has surrounded the UFC 284 event. The main event was also riddled with controversy after Islam Makhachev beat Alexander Volkanovski via unanimous decision. Despite losing the fight, the Australian won the hearts of many MMA fans who believed he would win the fight, while some argued that a split decision win made more sense.

Following the event, Alexander Volkanovski himself tweeted out saying he believed he should have won that match after going through the tape. Whereas Islam Makhachev tweeted out saying he felt he won comfortably. One thing is for certain though, the crowd and the event was one for the history books. Fans and Volkanovski himself are calling for a rematch between the pair.

Despite beating Alexander Volkanovski, Makhachev is still #2 in the UFC's P4P ranking as the Australian held on to the #1 position. Despite the event's success, UFC 284 had a number of controversies surrounding it.
