Khabib Nurmagomedov and Kayla Harrison's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, has poured cold water on the much-anticipated potential showdown between Harrison and Amanda Nunes, stating bluntly that he would only believe it when they are "locked in the cage."

With Harrison gaining momentum after her dominant win and crowning at UFC 316, the MMA world is eager to see how she fares against Nunes.

Abdelaziz thinks Nunes's retirement talk is questionable, and has coincided with Harrison's rise in the UFC women's bantamweight division. The move may have been strategically timed with Harrison signing the UFC, and Nunes retiring, apprehensive about her match-up with the Olympic-level Judoka.

Abdelaziz appears to believe that the former champion's comeback talk may be more about media relevance than a real desire. In a post on X, Abdelaziz quipped:

"My prediction I don’t think Amanda will ever come back to face Kayla Harrison. I will believe it when they both will be locked in the cage"

Merab Dvalishvili surpasses Khabib Nurmagomedov's UFC win streak over 7-year span

Khabib Nurmagomedov will always be considered the GOAT in the MMA world, but Merab Dvalishvili's name is rising at a fast pace in the GOAT conversations.

Recently, an X post highlighted the statistical difference between Nurmagomedov and Dvalishvili. 'The Machine' has won 13 UFC bouts back to back in the last 7 years, whereas Nurmagomedov won 9 bouts in the last 7 years of his career.

Check out the comparison statistics between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Merab Dvalishvili below:

Dvalishvili most recently locked horns with Sean O'Malley in a rematch at UFC 316 and won via round-three submission. 'The Machine' is now on a 13-fight win streak, as highlighted earlier, and has defended his bantamweight strap two times this year. The Georgian aims to defend his UFC strap two more times this year, and his expected to fight Cory Sandhagen next.

Having beaten O'Malley twice and boasting wins over Petr Yan, Umar Nurmagomedov, Jose Aldo, Henry Cejudo, among others, 'The Machine' is now considered one of the UFC's greatest bantamweights of all time.
