Former ONE welterweight world champion ‘Brazen’ Kiamrian Abbasov may have lost his world title to the scales after failing weight and hydration a day before he steps into the circle at ONE on Prime Video 4. That said, the 29-year-old is still brimming with excitement for fight week and is all smiles.

Abbasov is scheduled to face ONE lightweight world champion Christian ‘The Warrior’ Lee in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 4. The event broadcasts live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, November 18 (US primetime) and is free to watch on Prime Video for subscribers in the United States and Canada.

Despite the tremendous challenge before him, Abbasov can’t help but feel the buzz surrounding the upcoming bouts both at ONE 163 and ONE on Prime Video 4. Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, the powerful Kyrgyzstani warrior revealed the fights he will be watching out for:

“I am interested to see the Kyrgyzstan welterweight Ruslan Emilbek Uulu because we started our career in martial arts at the same time. We knew each other before ONE Championship and we still maintain a good and warm relationship.”

'Brazen' added:

“Saygid Izagakhmaev against Shinya Aoki is another interesting one. I hope that Saygid can win. In the middleweight division, Yushin Okami against Aung La N Sang is quite intriguing. Also, I’ve been following Roman Kryklia's trilogy with Iraj Azizpur. Roman should beat him, I think.”

Because he failed weight and hydration, Kiamrian Abbasov has forfeited 20% of his fight purse to Lee. Furthermore, he is no longer eligible to win the welterweight world title even if he beats ‘The Warrior'. However, if Lee wins, he will become the next double-champ in ONE Championship.

Kiamrian Abbasov plans to dominate Christian Lee, force the younger fighter to rethink his life choices

Former ONE welterweight world champion Kiamrian Abbasov doesn’t want to just beat Christian Lee this Friday night at ONE on Prime Video 4. He wants to dominate the 24-year-old and make him regret his decision to enter the welterweight division.

Speaking to ONE Championship in a recent interview, Abbasov sent an ominous warning to ‘The Warrior':

“A lot of things will go off plan for him. Naturally, he will complain to his dad or coach: ‘Coach, big problem. Kiamrian Abbasov is a big problem. Please, stop the fight. Stop the fight.’”

Abbasov is looking to finish Lee inside the distance and force his father and coach, Ken Lee, to throw in the towel from the corner. The Kyrgyzstani powerhouse is confident he can make good with his plans, break Lee down physically and mentally, and force him into submission.
