With a new update for EA's UFC 4, the stats of many fighters on the game's roster have seen significant changes. The updates come mainly to the in-game avatars of the fighters who were part of the recently concluded UFC 281 pay-per-view event.

With his fifth-round TKO of Israel Adesanya, newly crowned middleweight champion Alex Pereira sees improvement in almost 13 traits in UFC 4, while seeing a reduction in one trait. The fighter's stats changes are as follows:

+ 3 Power, + 1 Accuracy, +1 Foorwork, +3 Takedown defense, +1 Kick power, +2 Takedowns, +2 Top control, +3 Submissions, +5 Ground strikes, +1 Clinch control, +1 Body, +2 Legs, +2 Recovery, and -1 Blocking.

The -1 penalty in blocking might have been the result of the Brazilian getting wobbled by Adesanya at the very end of the first round.

With the defeat to 'Poatan', former champion Adesanya sees a reduction in a few stats. The fighter has also improved in some stats, probably owing to his dominant performance up until the last round.

The Nigerian's stat changes are as follows:

-1 Blocking, -1 Legs, +2 Takedowns, +3 Top control, +4 Ground strikes, +1 Chin.

-1 in blocking is most likely the result of the Kiwi getting TKOed in the bout, while the -1 penalty on the leg is probably the result of Adesanya claiming that Pereira damaged his peroneal nerve during the fight.

UFC 281 results also affected the UFC 4 stats of a few other fighters who performed on the fight card, including new strawweight queen Zhang Weili, former champion Carla Esparza, former interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier and former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler.

Weili's submission win over Esparza gave the fighter a +2 boost to her Takedown defense, Bottom control, and Submission stats, while the former champ was granted a -1 in Head movement and +1 each for Blocking and Kicking power.

With his third-round submission win over former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier got a +1 increase in his Submission stat.

Chandler also got a -3 deduction on Accuracy, -1 in Submission defense, and -2 in Cardio, while getting +2 in Power and Speed, among a few other changes.
