Paul, who co-founded Prime Hydration with KSI in 2022, took to social media to announce the lawsuit. He accused Garcia of participating in a "smear campaign" against Prime, driven by jealousy over the drink's success.

In a lengthy post, he wrote:

“We’re a threat. PRIME is the most disruptive beverage in history and our competitors feel the pressure. It’s likely that we’ve been targeted as the victim of a smear campaign.”
