Veteran British fighter Liam Harrison is looking forward to the day that ONE Championship finally lands in his backyard of London. He believes if ever that happens, the card will not be short on exciting fighters to watch.
'Hitman' conveyed this in an interview with the South China Morning Post, highlighting how the United Kingdom is brimming with not only established stars but also up-and-coming fighters who could represent the region well in the promotion.
"George Jarvis versus Liam Nolan. That'll be a great domestic fight. That'll be an incredible domestic fight. And then we've got like Amy Pirnie, who's knocked the Chinese girl sparks out. Get her on there, who else we've got."
He added:
"We've got some good up-and-comers who are fighting on ONE Friday Fights. Alfie Ponting put a good show in the other week, he got a bonus. There's Freddie, Jonathan [Haggerty's] brother, we can get him on there as well. We can make an absolutely unbelievable card. Just like Muay Thai, you've got Ellis [Barboza]. get him on there . You can make a solid card."

ONE Championship has been eyeing to bring its brand of world-class martial arts action to more people in the U.K. and Ireland. It gained headway last year when the promotion signed a multi-year agreement with Sky Sports, Europe's leading sports broadcaster to air ONE action to the broadcaster's various channels.
Liam Harrison and other fighters in the region are now awaiting to see ONE hold live on-ground events in the U.K. for them to showcase their skills in front of their supporters.
Liam Harrison returns to compete at ONE 168: Denver
While he looks forward to performing in front of fans in the United Kingdom at some point, Liam Harrison will first mark his return to action from injury this week in the United States.
The veteran Leeds fighter will battle Thai legend Seksan Or Kwanmuang in a catchweight (140 lbs) Muay Thai showdown at ONE 168 in Denver, Colorado, on Sept. 6. It is part of the event happening at the Ball Arena in the "Mile High City" and airing live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
It will be the first match back for Liam Harrison after a lengthy recovery from the knee injury he suffered in August 2022 during his title bid against former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama.
Harrison attempted to make an earlier return from the injury but saw himself pushing it back a couple of times as he was not confident that he had fully healed. This time though, he said it is a go for him and can't wait to see action.
Tickets for ONE 168: Denver are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.
