Liam Harrison knows for a fact that a split-second could spell the difference between fighting and staring up the floodlights in ONE Championship.

The British Muay Thai icon always stressed that there are no easy fights in the promotion, and he used his matchup against Muangthai PK Saenchai as a prime example.

In an interview with Fight Energy Films, Harrison recalled how fighters aren't offered the luxury to overthink during fights especially when matched up against lethal strikers such as Muangthai.

"When you're at the highest level in ONE Championship against fighters like Muangthai, if you start overthinking stuff, and you pause for a split-second, that's when you're going to get caught with something," said Liam Harrison.

Harrison experienced the sheer power of Muangthai firsthand when they squared up at ONE 156 in Singapore.

Muangthai had an unbelievable start and sent Harrison falling to the canvas twice in the opening round. Harrison, however, did the unthinkable and mounted a miraculous comeback.

'Hitman' went into berserker mode and plastered Muangthai with every strike imaginable, knocking the Thai star three times in a row to capture the improbable first-round knockout win.

That match solidified Harrison's mystique in ONE Championship, and he'll bring that high-octane offense when he returns after nearly a two-year absence.

Liam Harrison never doubted he'd be back on the big stage

Liam Harrison has been on the sidelines since 2022 after he suffered a brutal knee injury in his world title challenge against then-ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O Hama.

After nearly two years of recovery, Harrison is back in the fold and takes on Japanese standout Katsuki Kitano at ONE 167 on June 7 at Impact Arena.

Harrison told Fight Energy Films he always knew he'd be back in action, and it's now just a matter of time before he makes the walk to the circle:

"I don't do it for this star, the limelight, or anything like that. I'm not doing it to stay relevant. I'm doing it because I honestly believe I can come back and I can knock out most of these fighters who are in ONE Championship, and I honestly believe I can come back."

ONE 167 is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers.
