One thing that has never been in question is the heart and willpower of Liam Harrison that he has displayed throughout his career.

Despite being away from competition for close to two years, both of these attributes have been on show in that time.

The British striking icon suffered a devastating knee injury in his last fight against Nong-O Hama back in 2022 that has kept him on the sidelines ever since.

During this period, Liam Harrison slowly worked his way back to full fitness, but at times, he was forced to question whether his body would allow him to make a full comeback.

We will find out for good whether 'Hitman' is back and firing on all cylinders when he steps back inside the ring at ONE 167 on June 7.

Harrison told Fight Energy Films in a recent interview that he has kept his eyes on the prize in recent times with his heart set on competing once again:

"I don't do it for this star this, the limelight or anything like that. I'm not doing it to stay relevant. I'm doing it because I honestly believe I can come back and I can knock out most of these fighters who are in ONE Championship and I honestly believe I will come back."

Liam Harrison has done everything he can to prepare himself for ONE 167

Liam Harrison isn't used to having so much time away from competing in the sport that he loves but in that time, he has been taking every step imaginable to get himself back to fighting shape.

'Hitman' believes that his body is now back in the place it needs to be in order for him to step in there and compete.

His comeback fight against Katsuki Kitano at the Impact Arena in Bangkok will be a test for him to see where he is at because he's made it clear in the past that if he can no longer compete, he has no interest in sticking around.

What could be the striking veteran's final run begins in a matter of weeks when his long-awaited comeback finally happens.

ONE 167 will air live from the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, in U.S. primetime on June 7.
