Filipino strawweight fighter Lito Adiwang sees challenger Rodtang Jitmuangnon getting the better of reigning kickboxing champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 in their scheduled world championship clash later this week.

The two Thai superstars will collide for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title in the main event of ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video. The event is set for March 24 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Rodtang, who is the ONE flyweight Muay Thai king, seeks to fulfill his goal of becoming a two-sport ONE world champion. Superlek, meanwhile, hopes to make it a successful first title defense after ascending to the throne back in January.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda MMA, 'Thunder Kid' Adiwang shared his take on the upcoming title showdown and boldly predicted a knockout win by 'The Iron Man'.

The Team Lakay fighter said:

“For me, I see Rodtang winning via knockout. That’s gonna be a stoppage win. I’ll go with [a] knockout win in the third or fourth round.”

After dominating the sport of Muay Thai in his division, 'The Iron Man' made it known that it was time for him to win world titles in other combat sports. He is initially targeting kickboxing but also has hopes of winning one in mixed martial arts.

All ONE Fight Night events are broadcast live and for free in North America via Prime Video.

Lito Adiwang doesn’t think Superlek can hurt Rodtang

Team Lakay stalwart Lito Adiwang is high on the chances of Rodtang Jitmuangnon in his title showdown with reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 later this week. He particularly touts that the durability of 'The Iron Man' will propel him to victory.

The Jitmuangnon Gym fighter will vie for the kickboxing gold, currently held by 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek, in the main event of ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video on March 24 in Singapore. It is in line with his quest to become a two-sport ONE world champion as he is also the division’s Muay Thai king.

Speaking to Sportskeeda in an exclusive interview, Adiwang said the flyweight Muay Thai king's staying power amid the ferocious blows he absorbs during fights will serve him well even against a fighter the caliber of Superlek.

He said:

"For me, the strength between the two of them is a big difference. I think Superlek’s not capable of knocking Rodtang out because one of [the latter's] strengths is he can take damage.”

Apart from adding the kickboxing world title to his mantle, 'The Iron Man' is also seeking to extend his winning streak to four straight after absorbing his lone defeat in ONE Championship in a mixed-rules bout against mixed martial arts legend Demetrious Johnson in March last year.
