LOOK: Sage Northcutt takes “cooling off” to the next level

'Super' Sage Northcutt will soon make his long-awaited MMA comeback at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video booked for May 5. The US-born athlete has been keeping busy training and hitting weights in the gym.

On Instagram, Northcutt can be seen showing off his gym-fit body. He wrote in the caption of his post:

"Cooling off after some cardio."

Sage Northcutt made his ONE debut against powerful striker Cosmo Alexandre. After suffering a first-round knockout, the 27-year-old fighter took some time away to recover. But years on, he will finally be back in ONE Championship.

MMA fans have been eagerly awaiting to see 'Super' Sage throwdown in the ONE circle for quite some time. The wait is finally over at ONE Fight Night 10 on May 5. The fight card will be ONE Championship's first on-site event in the USA.

The inaugural card will be hosted at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado, and will be broadcast live on Prime Video, which will be free for Amazon subscribers in North America.

Sage Northcutt talks ONE Fight Night 10

'Super' Sage Northcutt can hardly contain his excitement to perform for fans in the USA. In an interview with Great Day Colorado, he explained:

“I think there are seven fights listed right now. But they have, what’s cool about ONE Championship is that they have a bunch of different styles of martial arts. So you have MMA, submission grappling, you have Muay Thai, and kickboxing.”

ONE Fight Night 10 will feature Muay Thai, MMA, and submission grappling. The May 5 matches feature international combat sports superstars such as Stamp Fairtex, Aung La N Sang, Mikey Musumeci, Rodtang 'The Iron Man' Jitmuangnon, and many other world-class athletes.

Northcutt will compete against 'Wolverine' Ahmed Mujtaba. 'Super' Sage discussed his opponent in the above interview. On his opponent's skills, he said:

"So my opponent, watching his last two fights, he’s talented. One of his fights he had a solid knockout, the last fight he just had he had a very unique submission, a triangle on his opponent who’s a black belt in jiu-jitsu, so that’s something definitely to watch out for."
