Liam Harrison's hard-hitting style is more than a self-belief.
The British Muay Thai and kickboxing legend has put on countless barnburners over the years, and he told the younger generation of fighters always to make the most of every fight they're in.
No matter the situation, Harrison said that fighters should always be ready to strap in a pair of gloves and step between the ropes with no questions asked.
Liam Harrison recalled his earliest fights when he was still building his identity in the sport, and gave his advice to younger fighters to trudge a similar path he once walked on.
He wrote on Instagram:
"Every fighter out there, never ever turn down an opportunity and always stay ready to take whatever comes your way. Make memories and crazy stories and enjoy every second of it…it won’t last forever 💙 #muaythai #fighterslife"
Harrison is one of the most influential fighters in Muay Thai and kickboxing history, and is arguably the greatest striker in British history.
'Hitman', as he eventually came to be known, collected 90 professional wins and eight world titles in Muay Thai and kickboxing.
Harrison, however, ultimately fell to the effects of Father Time and announced his retirement earlier this month at ONE 168: Denver.
Following his loss to Thai icon Seksan in their all-legends clash at Ball Arena, Harrison decided to leave his competitive career.
Liam Harrison has no regrets stepping away from his legendary career
All good things always come to an end, and for Liam Harrison it was his legendary martial arts career.
The multi-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion decided to listen to his body and subsequently retired from the highest level of competition when he lost to Seksan at ONE 168 on Sept. 6.
In the card's post-event press conference, Harrison said he retired with no regrets and was grateful to put on absolute barnburners during his illustrious career.
"It is what it is, I'm so grateful that I just [got] the chance. Even though I didn't win tonight, just the chance to have the craziest fights, the Muangthai fight, the Rodlek fight, and this fight tonight. Even though I didn't win, the thing I still got in abundance, I still have my heart."
