Michael Bisping has named Jorge Masvidal as the perfect opponent to stand across from Conor McGregor, should the Irishman be chosen as a coach for the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF).

'Notorious' uploaded a cryptic message on Instagram yesterday hinting at a possible role as one of the coaches on the next TUF, and fans immediately began theorizing who the other coach would be.

During a recent episode of the Believe You Me podcast, 'The Count' shared his ideal TUF coach to oppose McGregor:

"But Jorge Masvidal? That'd be a good one... Masvidal's the one, if they could do that it'd be massive. 'Cause number one, Masvidal doesn't take any cr*p. You know what I mean, he's got in my face many times... we're good now [though]. He's about that lifestyle, and so is McGregor, if you will. I don't think McGregor will fight at 155 pounds anytime soon. So a fight with Masvidal at 170, they're both strikers, in terms of a matchup Conor could win, that ticks all the boxes."

Conor McGregor has been recovering from a broken leg since mid-2021, and his comeback appears to be happening this year. 'Notorious' previously featured in season 22 of TUF against Uriah Faber.

Michael Bisping's beef with Jorge Masvidal was squashed several years ago, and he is eager for 'Gamebred' to face off against McGregor.

Michael Bisping speaks on Conor McGregor's recent assault allegations

Conor McGregor recently made headlines after a woman alleged that the Irishman assaulted her in Ibiza during his birthday weekend in July 2022. The woman stated that the pair grew up in the same Irish neighborhood, and that he invited her to his party when he recognized her in Ibiza.

Things escalated later that evening as 'Notorious' allegedly became aggressive, and the woman was forced to jump off the yacht in fear for her safety.

Michael Bisping recently shared his thoughts on the allegations and stated:

"I'm not saying she is making it up, but I'm also not saying it's true. It's not the first time we've seen these kind of headlines, but still, he's a controversial figure, isn't he? Either way, it's not a good look."
