Polarizing former UFC welterweight Mike Perry made the news lately for getting arrested for driving under the influence in Florida. The bodycam footage of the arrest was first published by TMZ Sports.
The outspoken BKFC champion was heard hurling homophobic slurs at the cops, who pulled Perry over onto the side of the road. After some back-and-forth between Perry and the police officer in charge, the bareknuckle boxing champion was asked to step out of the car after it was determined that he had "nine drinks" that night.
Things took a turn when a visibly intoxicated Mike Perry refused to do sobriety exercises, willingly getting himself arrested in the process. While in handcuffs, Perry yelled to his partner, Latory Gonzalez, that everything would be okay and he'll be released soon.
Perry said:
"Latory, I'm getting arrested because I'm not doing this bullsh*t sobriety test so just relax, honey, I'll be home. I'll be home soon. They know exactly who I am. They're f*cking mad. F*ck hthese f*ggots, couple of f*aggots."

Mike Perry got TKO'd by Jake Paul in most recent fight
Mike Perry was ultimately charged with driving under the influence and refused to sign a citation that required him to make a court appearance. He was booked in jail but was released hours later after posting a $1,500 bond. He's due to make a court appearance later this month.
In his most recent fight, 'Platinum' faced influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul last June as a replacement for 'Iron' Mike Tyson. With just a few weeks to prepare, Perry lost via a sixth-round technical knockout inside six rounds.
Perry didn't impose his bullying, power-heavy game as Paul elected to box him around. 'The Problem Child' used effective jabs and footwork to frustrate 'Platinum', leaving him open to power shots that eventually caused his downfall.
As of this writing, no official bout has been announced for Perry yet, whether it's boxing, bareknuckle boxing, or MMA.
