Jonathan Haggerty: Nong-O will head to UK after ONE Fight Night 9 for multi-city seminar tour

Nong-O Hama released the first three dates of his seminar tour in the United Kingdom.

Starting on May 19, the reigning ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai world champion is making a trip to spread his knowledge in the U.K. Nong-O is teaming up with Yoddecha Sityodtong for a Yodmuay retreat in Preston, followed by super seminars in Preston, Glasgow, and London.

The tour information was posted on Instagram with the caption saying:

Before focusing on his U.K. tour, the Thai superstar has an upcoming title defense against Jonathan Haggerty at ONE Fight Night 9 on Prime Video. Haggerty is a former flyweight Muay Thai world champion who’s moving up to bantamweight with the hopes of dethroning the Thai superstar on April 21.

Haggerty has a tough mountain to climb to become the bantamweight world champion. Since joining ONE in April 2018, Nong-O has established a promotional record of 10-0, including wins against Liam Harrison, Saemapetch Fairtex, Rodlek PK Saenchai, and Alaverdi Ramazanov. He looks to add ‘The General’ to his resume.

Who else is fighting at ONE Fight Night 9 besides Nong-O Hama and Jonathan Haggerty?

Before Nong-O Hama and Jonathan Haggerty meet in the main event, nine other bouts are scheduled for ONE Fight Night 9. In the co-main event, rising prospects Halil Amir and Maurice Abevi will look to take another step towards the lightweight title. Amir is 1-0 in the promotion, while Abevi is making his debut.

The April 21 event also features Bokang Masunyane vs. Hiroba Minowa in a top contender matchup in the strawweight division, the return of Jhanlo Mark Sangiao, an intriguing bantamweight Muay Thai bout between Saemapetch Fairtex and Felipe Lobo, and more.
