Former UFC heavyweight Mark Hunt has revealed that he is in talks with Jake Paul's camp about a potential boxing bout.

Hunt called time on his MMA career in 2018, following a unanimous decision loss to Justin Willis. He walked away from the octagon with a mixed 13-14 record but is widely regarded as one of the most popular heavyweights ever, thanks to his multiple walk-off knockouts.

He wouldn't compete for another MMA organization following his UFC stint but has stepped into the boxing ring on two occasions since 2020. He first faced former rugby league player Paul Gallen and lost on points before facing Sonny Bill Williams in 2022. 'The Super Samoan' won the fight via a TKO in the fourth round.

The 49-year-old is keen to book his next fight, and there have been rumors of him stepping back into the squared circle, with Jake Paul as his potential opponent.

In a recent appearance on the From The Stands podcast, Hunt stated that he's more than keen to face 'The Problem Child':

"We are talking to their camp and they are interested... Of course I'd like to punch his teeth in. We've been talking about it. We'll see how it works. He's a bit crazy in the head, he's a bit mental. That's why I like him because I'm pretty much the same."

Former UFC fighter names better fighter between Jake Paul and Logan Paul

Despite calling for a bout against Jake Paul for some time, Mike Perry recently gave him props for his skill as a fighter.

During a recent appearance on Demtrious Johnson's YouTube channel, 'Platinum' was asked who he thought was the better fighter between the Paul brothers.

Perry firmly stated that it was Jake and explained that it is due to his willingness to stand and trade with his opponents. He said:

"Jake Paul, I think he's a little better than his brother. He's got more power. He doesn't box as swift, he's more down to get into a fight. I think that's a really good fight, I don't know why they're trying to duck or dodge. It's because they can't get a knockout in that fight. Jake's hit me with great shots before."
